anyways, she's a really strong person who went through a lot and her songs reflect that, and ever since she first leaked a snippet of this at her concert i was so excited to hear it and she didn't disappoint. i think someone on tumblr (um..) once said (er..) something about how they love stories where it shows how the love was there, and it didn't change anything, but it was there and it mattered. and love wins all is kind of like that. iu said that the song was for people who strive to love in a world that hinders it and idk. i love (ha!) it a lot. ♫ Any angle - noa this song recently came out in japan and i heard it when i was walking around the city. it's just a fun little song about collecting happiness and seeing beauty in every angle. 困っちゃう! ♫ Seasons - Vacations to be completely honest, i genuinely forgot where i found this song but everytime i listen to it i do a little yippee! the lyrics are about moving forward and finding things to be happy about as the seasons continue. my favorite part is when he sings don't blink for a second, or you just might miss this. what can i say! i'm fomo master. ♫ star tripping. - Kevin Atwater this is a gay song but like actually it's gay. the singer is this white guy from the middle of nowhere and he made a tiktok about how he thought everyone knew what star tripping was but it turned out to be a bumb fuck nowhere hobby. apparently star tripping is when you stare at a single star and spin around really fast and then have someone shine a flash light at your face. it gives you a kind of high? there are basically no stars in new york city, but maybe if you can see the stars over there you can try it and let me know if it worked. ♫ Sun Bleached Flies - Ethel Cain woah i'm an ethel cain fan but on the down low and she has lore. like, she's a singer but ethel cain is her alter ego and she lived in a small town raised in a cult and fell in love and escaped the town but got cannibalized by her lover. there's a lot more context to that but the entire album is so wow. american teenager is probably my favorite, but sun bleached flies is a close second. if you want to hear demonic music listen to ptolemaea...the song is her being cannibalized in the pov of her lover and it sounds like a summoning no joke. ♫ Soren - beabadoobee so before cheating gate (bea's ex boyfriend got with her best friend right after they broke up), soren was a love song she wrote for him (soren is her ex's name) and it's really lovely. i even bought the vinyl for it. the lyrics go and if there was a place that i had to choose / or a memory, that fades that i cannot lose / if there was a place that i could call home / before i die, you ought to know / it'd be in your arms tonight . i always listened to this song and remembered london cause those are memories i have faith in that id never forget, and being with you guys was really like being home. ♫ Besides You - 5 Seconds of Summer i just put this in for funsies cause old 5sos songs are bangers. i actually never had a 5sos phase or a 1d phase cause when i was younger i liked not being like other girls cause i was misogynistic. but now im not so! okay sorry for the random lore drop like um love women! i wish i was beside you! ♫ Animal - Neon Trees i've been listening to old songs and this was one of my favorites. neon trees were really those guys...american pop in the 2000s was so good and i really understand when people say nostalgia makes things better. i hope you um let the animal inside of you out..? okay sorry yes this was kind of just a furry joke but the song is good! ♫ My Love Mine All Mine. - Mitski i already know that you love this song and i put it in just in case you hate the other songs. okay jk but also you recommended it when i asked on airbuds what song i should burn on my original mixtape for my lover and it was the only serious song out of everyone else's recs, so just know that in my original mixtape there is a singular beautiful mitski song and like 3080928 fall out boy songs. mitski got me through my emo phase so to see that she made a happy song surprised me a lot cause wow. she's happier too now.
